THIS BODY STYLE IS A NEW PRODUCTION FOR ROD BODS DOWNUNDER
Utilising our 3 inch
chopped 1932 3 Window Coupe we have scalped the roof at the front by 1.3/4
inches (45 mm) leaving the rear window and front windscreen the same opening
areas as our original 3 inch chopped 1932 3 Window Coupe.
We have also laid the whole A Pillar back by 1.3/4
inches (45mm) at the top and moved the bottom of the A Pillar forward 1 inch
(25mm), by doing this you have the same vision as our standard 3 inch Chopped
Body and by bringing the screen back has also improved upward vision
With angling the roof there also has been no head room
area lost

this body style is definitely for you!!”

As you can see above the whole A Pillar and Windscreen Frame has been
laid back. If you look at the bottom of the A Pillar you will see a gap near
the sill showing we have moved it forward 1 inch.
As you might
see in this photo the sides of the roof have been sliced and brought down.
The Body was made without the traditional Eyebrow moulding
that runs across the top of the windscreen in later photos you will see this
top edge a lot rounder and a small eyebrow will be formed.
As you can see in them above and below photos everything is held
together with tags of steel and screws, we have glassed on the inside, once
this is dry we will heavily grind the outside and glass reinforce the joins.
As you can see
in the next few photos we have fibreglassed all our cuts and repairs also
rounded the edge above the windscreen.
As you can see in the picture
below to the right is a Standard 3” Chopped Rod Bods Downunder
3 Window Coupe, to the left is the “New Lean Mean 32 3 Window Coupe”.
It has been scalped by 1.3/4” and
the A Pillar has been pushed forward at the bottom 1” and laid back 1.3/4” at
the top.
The windscreen area is untouched staying the same 3” chop as is
the rear window.
It still retains the same head room area and has slight
improvement of upward vision to our standard Rod Bods Downunder 3” Chopped 1932
3 Window Coupe
